HR Coordinator
Washington, DC (Hybrid) | $60K-$75K
Our client is a prestigious, nonprofit organization with a membership that includes several Nobel Prize winners. As the HR Coordinator, you would respond to inquiries from the HR Service Center mailbox regarding HR policies, procedures and the functional areas of HR including employment/staffing, employee relations, HRIS and benefits administration.
A typical week will include:
- Responding to inquiries, disseminating human resources policies, procedures, and information
- Providing guidance to unit supervisors and employees on inquiries relating to their job, performance, and other human resource matters
- Responding to employee correspondences, ranging all disciplines within HR
- Managing the full hiring process and onboarding and offboarding cycle
- Tracking, entering, and communicating that one-time payments are processed correctly
- Coordinating special events and wellness activities
- Reviewing and approving all personnel actions. Reviewing confidential documentation for accuracy and completeness in the HRIS. Completing employee-related business processes in a timely manner
- Reviewing payroll to ensure all changes during the period were processed and resulted correctly
- Auditing data regularly to ensure data consistency
- Preparing standardized reports on a regular basis and distributing reports to respective customers
- Creating, maintaining, and updating SOPs that support established procedures and guidelines
- Processing all benefit changes, including analyzing and determining life event eligibility and documentation
- Assists with training marketing and communication activities. Maintains and updates training intranet pages.
