Lucy Schratz is the newest member of the Schechter Reed team. She is a hardworking mother of 5 who was born and raised in the DC area and now lives outside of Philadelphia. After several years in the field, Lucy began teaching an immersive online English class for students from China and Japan. She loved her work but found that the Covid pandemic introduced more stress and instability on teachers, and she set off on a different path. Inspired by her husband’s career in recruiting, Lucy found Schechter Reed. Many of the qualities that made her a great teacher- the ability to bring out the best in people, strong organizational and detail skills, a warm and consultative approach – were crucial for recruiting as well. She was empowered by the women on the team and felt right at home instantly. In her free time, Lucy enjoys going on adventures with her family, reading, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with her energetic rescue dog. We are so happy to have her on board!
