Washington, DC | $90K-$110K

This newly created role is 100% on-site in our client’s newly-renovated and highly collaborative D.C. office. It is ideal for someone who is hungry to move into a next-level Recruiter opportunity after working in a largely individual contributor role for 5+ years.

 

Position Overview

The Recruiter plays an important role in supporting our employees and representing the brand both internally and externally. With the support and direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter will primarily contribute to recruitment efforts (80% of time) as well as compensation and payroll support, benefits administration, performance management, employee training, and HR administration (20% of time). In addition, the Recruiter will be able to use their creative side to contribute to a variety of special projects within the company.

 

A typical week will include:

  • Representing the company to prospective employees
  • Building out and managing the new applicant tracking system
  • Managing relationships with external recruiters
  • Posting new positions on job boards and company website
  • Proactively sourcing new prospective candidates
  • Conducting phone screens and scheduling interviews
  • Drafting offer letters
  • Supporting the University Recruiting and Internship programs
  • Keeping leadership updated on recruitment efforts
  • Owning the onboarding process for new hires and conducting new hire orientations
  • Managing the background check process for prospective and current employees
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Providing general payroll support
  • Providing necessary reports to leadership and the accounting department
  • Acting as a point of contact for employee inquires
  • Supporting and acting as back-up for other members of the HR team
  • Working with other departments on initiatives that support our employees
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times

This may be right for you if:

  • You have a BS Degree; in Human Resources (preferred)
  • You have at least 5 years recruiting experience in a fast-paced, employee-centric organization
  • You have a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential (preferred)
  • You have played an active role in implementing an ATS
  • You have strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency
  • You proactively identify and solve challenges
  • You are highly organized with the ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • You are able to work independently and collaboratively
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You leverage leadership skills to set strategies and drive projects to completion
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
